Jordan Brand has been consistent with its Air Jordan 1 drops since the mid-2010s, each gaining various levels of appeal between the different types of sneakerheads. OG Jordan fans have already started to turn their heads towards the sight of this “True Blue” release, which is partly due to the obvious associations to the beloved Air Jordan 3 “True Blue”. The iconic silhouette has seen a whole host of blue make-ups since its’ original ’85 release, with the “Royal Blue” and “Storm Blue” editions having its own niche following. Competing for a space on an already strong line-up is this Air Jordan 1 High OG “True Blue” which has all the makings of a classic.Similar to the OG colour blocking of the “Black Toes”, the front and back portion is divided, split into blue and cement grey panelling. The Swoosh, toe guard and eyestay panelling are all doused in blue, the shade given a traditional edge thanks to the contrasting white leather. All the signature features remain unchanged, the perforated toe box, padded collar lining and Nike Air branding bringing that classic feel. Threaded on the upper are a set of blue laces that provide all the necessary lockdown, rounding off yet another solid release from Jordan Brand.
